The chief of staff, Juan Manzur, assured this Wednesday that Argentina is moving towards a “historic export record” this year, and remarked that “the great challenge of the Government is to promote the production sector so that the country continues adding value and This translates into more work.

“Exports are on the way to a historical record for this year,” Manzur said Wednesday in statements to the press before entering the Casa Rosada, and highlighted the importance of “continuing with this very favorable rate of exports that, this year, If things continue as they are now, they will reach levels that have never been reached before.”

The official pointed out that this was one of the issues addressed in the meetings he held both with directors of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA) and with the leadership of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT).

“There are regular meetings and the dialogue is very good. We are going to continue exchanging proposals so that things go well for Argentina,” said the chief of staff.

Regarding the assumption of Sergio Massa as Minister of Economy, Production and Agriculture, he maintained that “expectations are the best.”

“The economy is in a difficult situation, in a very complex global context and Argentina is not an island, but despite all the difficulties we have confidence in its management,” Manzur stressed.
