The city of Abancay will become, this Friday the 16th, and until Sunday the 18th of September, the center of agricultural, textile, tourist, mining and gastronomic promotion in the southern regions, when the Expo Peru Los Andes 2022the great fair for the economic development of Ayacucho, Cusco, Huancavelica, Junín, Ica and Apurímac.
This fair, organized by the Andes Regional Association, will bring together businessmen and professionals who seek to promote the economic development of these six regions based on their productive activities in coexistence with mining.
The arrival of 20,000 visitors is expected to tour the more than 100 stands that will be installed in the sports complex of the El Olivo stadium, and the presence of large buyers from hotels, restaurants, exporters and representatives of supermarket chains and warehouses, which will allow generate business for more than 15 million soles in the three fair days.
Expo Peru Los Andes 2022 seeks to become the most important commercial platform in the southern regions. As a direct sale at the same fair, it is planned to reach one million soles, and a similar amount in the tourism bag.
In addition to the arrival of authorities from the six regions that make up the Commonwealth of the Andes, organizer of the fair, it is sponsored by the mining companies Las Bambas, Molleverde-Buenaventura, Shouthern Peru and the Asociación de Mineros Artesanales Pepitas de Oro.
Among the main scheduled activities are specialized talks on the agricultural and tourist offer of the southern regions of the country. The following topics will be developed: “Avocado business situation. Strategies for better access to the market for avocado exports and their future projection”, “Andean grains as a source of food and energy development”, “Community tourism” and “Country Brand licensing program”.
The second date of the program, on Saturday 17, the following titles will be developed: “Investment forums for business projects”, “Camelid fiber, crafts and their potential for the future” and “Adaptation of sustainable housing in rural areas of Apurímac ”.
Expo Perú Los Andes 2022 also has an important International Business Roundtable scheduled, in charge of the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú), which will take place from the eve of the inauguration, with the presence of 25 buyers. from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Chile.
These buyers, from the agribusiness and clothing and decoration industry sectors, will enter into trade with a total of 58 exporting companies from the Andes Regional Association, which will exhibit a varied offer of superfoods (functional, fresh and processed), in addition to clothing and accessories in alpaca, home textiles, among others.
Expo Perú Los Andes 2022 will begin this Friday the 16th with a colorful parade of folk dances, which will tour the main streets of Abancay. Visitors will be able to enjoy the best typical dishes of each participating region.
The commercial and academic activities of this great fair will be complemented by cultural and artistic presentations by the seven provinces of the Apurímac region, and in the following order: Abancay, Chincheros, Aymaraes, Andahuaylas, Cotabambas, Antabamba and Grau.
