The explosion occurred shortly after 3:09 p.m. Among the people who died there are six minors.
According to reports, the flames spread through the business and spread to a vehicle parked outside, which caught fire.
Carlos Freaner Figueroa, national president of the Red Cross, confirmed that 23 people lost their lives (12 women, five men, four girls and two boys).

“It was a fire in a commercial establishment, we had to carry out rescue and rescue work, which took a significant amount of time since there were many people inside,” he explained in a brief interview with local media.
Governor Alfonso Durazo instructed state institutions to provide immediate attention to the victims and open an investigation to determine the causes of the incident.

The mayor of Hermosillo, Antonio Aztiazarán, indicated that municipal personnel are already working on providing assistance and ordered that activities for the day of the dead, such as concerts and dances that were going to be held in the center of that city, be canceled out of respect.
