Most of the indicators that take into account the Macroeconomic Expectations Survey of the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) remained in the optimistic range (above 50 points) in September, however, many of them registered a decline compared to the August results.

For example, expectations “about the economy” for 12 months went from 59 points to 57 points, while that of “your company’s situation” in that same period, fell to 62 points, compared to the 63 points it registered in August. .
Another indicator that fell was that of “your company’s investment” also at one year, which decreased to 59 points, compared to 62 a month before.
“In the case of the indicators with the highest correlation with GDP, the three-month expectation of the sector registered a recovery (from 53 to 55 points), and that of the three-month economy was similar to the August result (52 points). “said the BCR.
MACROECONOMIC
On the other hand, the BCR survey revealed that both analysts and the financial system estimate that the economy will grow 3% this year. Meanwhile, non-financial companies project an increase of 2.8%.
The three economic agents expect that inflation for 2024 will be between 2.% and 2.8%, and for 2025 between 2.4% and 2.9%, that is, within the BCR’s target range (between 1% and 3%).
