Santa Cruz will host the first version of the Bolivian International Gastronomic Congress and Fair, called “Expecias”, organized by the Gastronomic Institute of the Americas (IGA), Regency and the support of the Government of Santa Cruz.

Saddam Pinto, director of Tourism and Culture of the Government of Santa Cruz, highlighted that it is the first time that this event will be held in the country with the objective of promoting and exchanging ideas, knowledge and experiences within the gastronomic industry, in addition to revaluing the cultural diversity and native flavors of the participating countries.

He pointed out that it will be held this November 14, 15 and 16, in the Chané and Guarayos halls of the Fexpocruz, for which he invited the population to participate, contacting the organization through their social networks or directly on the spot. .

For his part, Andrés Besedovsky, CEO of IGA Bolivia, stressed that the event is not only designed for gastronomy students and professionals, but also for cooking lovers who practice it empirically.

“It will be an excellent opportunity to network, not only with people in the industry, suppliers, potential clients, partners; but also, with experts who will be providing support, inspiration and advice; in addition to presenting itself as an excellent option for family entertainment, since every day, starting at 4 in the afternoon, the congress will be transformed into a fair, where various restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, will do a tasting of dishes, to the song of a musical show,” Besedovsky highlighted.

Along the same lines, Gerard Germain, a renowned French chef who is part of the experts who will speak at the congress, stated that Expecias is also a very important event for Bolivia on a cultural level.

“There are many people who have been involved in gastronomy and we want to help them grow, using local and international tools,” he expressed, wishing a “bon appétit” to future participants.

Charity dinner to help the Oncologist

Within the framework of “Expecias”, the organization has set up a noble space aimed at helping those most in need; Therefore, at the conclusion of the event, on Saturday, November 16, together with the Legion of Ladies of the Fight against Cancer, they will hold a charity dinner at the Raffiné restaurant, with the aim of raising funds to expand an environment of the Santa Cruz Oncology.

6 of the chefs who will participate in the congress and gastronomic fair will prepare exquisite dishes of their specialty, so that the population can taste them.
