The National Library of Brasília has an open exhibition to commemorate the centenary of the anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro. The exhibition Darcy Ribeiro: a man of ideas, words runs until March 2023 and brings excerpts from relevant written works by the anthropologist selected by the library’s employees from books belonging to the cultural equipment collection.
Darcy Ribeiro is a writer, sociologist and historian. He became recognized for his work directed at Brazilian indigenous peoples, with several works dedicated to indigenous peoples, such as The Brazilian Indigenous Policy (1962), The Indians and Civilization (1970) and Indigenous Cultures and Languages of Brazil (1957).
