The President of Congress, Maria del Carmen Alvastated that the exemption from the general sales tax (IGV) raised to certain products that are not part of the basic basket was a technical error.

According to Alva, this text was reviewed by all the technicians, including those of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), and all of them “went over it”.
