The man murdered his ex-partner and mother of his two daughters with a knife. He also injured his in-laws, but they managed to survive. For all the facts, the Public Ministry requested the maximum penalty, achieving 30 years in prison plus 10 as a security measure against him.
Prosecutor Martín Escalada managed to 30 years of imprisonment (plus 10 years in prison as a security measure) for Timoteo Ferreira Martinez, after being found guilty of Femicide and Attempted Homicide (against the parents of the deceased).
It should be noted that this number of years of sentence was the request made by the Prosecutor’s Office.

The events occurred on June 15, 2020in the town of Natalicio Talavera, Department of Guairá, inside a house, located in the Virgen del Rosario neighborhood of that city.
Timoteo Ferreira Martínez was detained in the city of Villa Hayes, Department of Presidente Hayes.
The fatal victim was identified as Sintia Beatriz Orrego (30)to whom Ferreira Martínez attacked with a knife. On that occasion, the victim’s parents, Leoncio Orrego (73) and Julia Sosa (67) were also injured, but managed to survive.
During the Oral Trial expert evidence was produced, consisting of DNA and extraction of data from the cell phone of the condemned today. In addition, documentary and testimonial evidence.

Background
