The Executive power is preparing a bill that will expand the work license of state and private workers so that they can adopt minors, announced this Tuesday the president of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torres.
“We will present a Bill that allows the expansion of work licenses by administrative adoption, aimed at workers in the public and private sectors, in order to facilitate the constitution of new families.”, Torres said today during his presentation in the Congress of the Republic to request a vote of confidence from the Ministerial Cabinet.
The proposal is part of the Government’s actions to provide a better quality of life to children who are orphaned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For this reason, together with Congress, we promoted and approved economic assistance for orphans. Likewise, we will continue to reinforce this work, with accompanying measures that promote the protection and comprehensive development of more than 80,000 children and adolescents who unfortunately live in this situation.”, he pointed.
Other labor measures
- The Government plans that by July 2022, the National Program for Employability will be carried out, which will benefit a total of 11,075 people through job training services, promotion for self-employment, certification of job skills and the Youth Bicentennial Scholarship.
- Through the Work Peru Program, 188,000 temporary jobs will be generated during the first half of this year.
- The Single Trade Union Registry will be promoted to optimize the attention processes for trade unions, federations and confederations.
- In April, the General Labor Code will be debated by the National Council for Labor and Employment Promotion, for its subsequent presentation before the Congress of the Republic.
- The regulations relating to collective labor law, such as the Regulations of the Law on Collective Labor Relations, will be modified.
