As announced by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM), Walter Verri, the Executive Branch decided to reduce the price of 50S diesel oil by two pesos and maintain the price of Super gasoline.
The government resolved that the costs of the main fuels remain unchanged in March, despite the fact that the import parity price (PPI) marked an increase.
“It is a drop that supports the productive sector once again,” said Verri, adding that the Executive has demonstrated its support for the productive sector with various measures. Likewise, he expressed that the UTE has also deployed measures in this regard.
Thus, 50S diesel will cost 56.99 pesos per liter at the pump, while Super 95 gasoline will continue at 71.88 pesos per liter, the maximum for sale to the public. The price of diesel thus accumulates a reduction of more than 12% since June 2022.
The new cost of diesel will take effect from 00:00 on March 1. In the case of supergas, the price will remain unchanged.
