Executive extends term of call for candidates for magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice


The draft Cabinet Resolution N64-22 authorizes the Minister of the Presidency, in his capacity as Secretary General of the Cabinet Council, to extend the term of the public call to fill the position of magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Second Chamber Criminal and its respective substitute.

The Cabinet Council approved this Wednesday to extend the term of the call for magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Second Criminal Chamber and his respective substitute, positions that will remain vacant as of December 31, 2022.

The draft Cabinet Resolution No. 64-22 authorizes the Minister of the Presidency, in his capacity as Secretary General of the Cabinet Council, to extend the term of the public call to fill the position of magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Second Criminal Chamber and its respective alternate, positions that will be vacant as of December 31, 2022.

The Minister of the Presidency and Secretary General of the Cabinet Council, José Gabriel Carrizo Jaén, explained that this decision was made after he received a note from the Attorney General of the Administration, in which he was notified that nine people had presented as candidates for the position and the advisory commission considers it convenient to extend the term of the call to give them the opportunity to comply with the requirements established in the Law.
