He Executive power extended this Thursday the state of emergency in six districts of Mother of Godwith the aim of maintaining public order against illegal logging and mining, as well as crimes linked to these activities.
The measure was disseminated in Supreme Decree 011-2025-PCM, which was published today in the Official Gazette El Peruano. The extension takes effect on January 26.
The districts of two provinces are included in the standard. From the province of Tambopata there are the districts of Tambopata, Inambari, Las Piedras and Laberinto, while from the province of Manu, the districts of Madre de Dios and Hepetuhe are indicated.
The rule stipulates that the National Police will maintain internal control in these jurisdictions and will have the support of the Armed Forces.
Likewise, it is established that during the validity of this measure, the constitutional rights to the inviolability of the home, freedom of movement and assembly, as well as freedom and personal security are restricted.
The state of emergency was initially declared on April 7, 2023, and was extended repeatedly.
According to the decree, the new extension was given following the recommendation of the National Directorate of Order and Security of the National Police. This with the objective of carrying out police operations to confront illegal activities and the crimes that arise from them.
