The Government approved, by supreme decree, the extension of the state of emergency for 30 calendar days in Metropolitan Lima and the constitutional province of Callao,
It is worth mentioning that this is part of the actions aimed at addressing insecurity and acts of violence.
The decision also contemplates the extension of the state of emergency for 60 days in the provinces of Tumbes and Zarumilla, in the department of Tumbes, as well as in Trujillo and Virú, in the La Libertad region.
With this provision, the National Police of Peru continues to be in charge of controlling internal order, with the support of the Armed Forces.
The extension maintains the restriction or suspension of constitutional rights linked to personal freedom and security, the inviolability of the home, freedom of assembly and transit, in addition to reinforcing special measures in penitentiary control, territorial control and response of the justice system.
