The Executive Branch ordered a holiday on Wednesday, December 7 starting at noon, the eve of the Day of the Virgin of Caacupé. The measure applies to public administration officials and decentralized entities.
By Decree No. 8448, the President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, ordered the holiday for public administration officials and decentralized entities, next Wednesday, December 7, starting at 12:00.
The provision excludes public officials and employees who provide emergency medical tasks and during special hours, and workers affected by essential public services for the community.
The aforementioned holiday is declared on the eve of the Day of the Virgin of Caacupé, so that citizens can go to the spiritual capital of Paraguay to participate in the Marian festivities, after three years of restrictions due to the pandemic.
