The Ministry of Housing signed an agreement with the Federation of Union Housing Cooperatives. The resolution enables the advance of 2% of the funds so that the housing cooperatives can complete the works. With this measure, 11 cooperatives made up of about 500 people will benefit. Minister Irene Moreira explained that the purpose of the award is to finish the constructions that were lagging behind.
The signing of the agreement, this Tuesday the 22nd at the PIT-CNT headquarters, included the presence of the Secretary of State and the president of the labor union, Marcelo Abdala.
The advance of funds is made by virtue of the fact that the housing cooperatives achieved a progress of work lower than expected due to the lack of funds. Given this situation, it was decided to advance the release of loan withholdings so that the cooperatives can resume their works.
The beneficiary cooperatives are Covimar PVS; PMV 781; Covirosell PVS; PMV 850; coviachievements PVS; PMV 793; Covisinca 2 PVS; Reg. No. 952; Coviari PVS; PMV 859; Covisunca PVS and PMV 970. The measure will benefit 500 families.
The ministerial resolution signed by Moreira allows particular agreements to be entered into with each cooperative in which the conditions and guidelines to be met are established so that they can resume the works.
In her oratory, the hierarch clarified that the 2% that is awarded for the completion of the construction of the house was advanced for 11 cooperatives whose works were lagging behind.
He indicated that they must present their work schedule and how they will use the funds assigned to each of them.
In another order, Moreira announced that a new raffle will be held on December 19 that will allow some 750 families to start the process to obtain their properties.
For his part, Abdala highlighted the importance of the advancement of funds by the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning for the cooperatives to continue with the construction.
