Santo Domingo.- Excel, a leading investment banking group, has announced with satisfaction that the rating agency Feller Rate has raised the rating of the Excel II Real Estate Closed Investment Fund from BBB+fa to Afa.
According to the international agency, the decision is based on the high level of experience and knowledge of the Dominican market of Excel’s founding partners.
Feller Rate explained that the upgrade to “Afa” is due to various factors, including the progress of the fund’s real estate portfolio, adequate diversification of its assets, a limited vacancy rate and a better risk-adjusted index compared to similar funds.
The rating agency also highlighted the professional management of the fund manager, which has a robust structure and well-defined policies for fund management, supported by complete and detailed manuals of policies and procedures for the correct management of third-party resources.
Alberto Cruz, Excel’s President, commented on this achievement: “This success reflects our management’s commitment to excellence and is a significant milestone in our ongoing effort to foster the growth of the Dominican Republic’s stock market. Equities play a crucial role in the economic development of our country.”

This not only benefits our investors, but also strengthens the financial infrastructure of the Dominican Republic, promoting a more attractive and competitive investment environment.”
Finally, he thanked Excel for its trust, which he considered the basis of his success and the impetus to continue working with integrity, innovation and excellence.
“We will continue to focus on creating long-term value and implementing strategies that benefit both our investors and the economic development of our country,” he said.
Banahí Tavárez, Vice President of Excel Safi commented, “We are extremely pleased to receive this new rating of the Excel II Real Estate Closed Investment Fund from Feller Rate.
