The exprocer of the State, Silvana Carrión, He denounced that his cessation was a “political” decision, orchestrated by the mayor of Lima, Rafael López Aliaga. The former official, who was ceased in an abrupt and immediate way, states that the burgomaster pressed it through text messages to make a decision in a judicial case.
In an interview with Peru21TVCarrión said that the announcement of his cessation was given while he was in a live interview, and that he was not formally notified until hours later. However, as soon as the news was known, its accesses to the computer systems and their institutional email were immediately blocked, and even the light of its headquarters was cut, which, he said, is a sample of “hostileization” and an “arbitrary decision.”
The ex -processor assured that the Minutes of the Board of Directors of the State Attorney General mentions that his cessation was given to the request of Mayor Rafael López Aliaga. Carrión revealed that López Aliaga wrote directly to his cell phone for nine days, with “intimidating messages” to define the position of the Attorney General’s Office in a judicial procedure. She cited a message from the mayor: “You are forcing me to go to press for your behavior,” which, he says, was followed by a media campaign against him in media related to the burgomaster.
Silvana Carrión also referred to the accusations of “conflict of interest” that indicate that the study of lawyers in which he worked almost ten years ago defends the company Brookfield, to which his office investigated. The ex -processing refuted this argument, stating that its employment relationship with the Azabache study ended at the end of 2016. He argued that his management always acted in favor of the State.
As indicated by the ex -processor, in eight years, the entity that directed achieved sentences with civil repairs that total 1,500 million soles in debt titles. From this amount, 310 million soles have already been charged, and for the end of this year, the income of 75 million more soles is expected. In addition, he mentioned that his office has obtained embargoes for a total of 2.8 billion soles, which guarantee the collection of future sentences, such as that of former mayor Susana Villarán, who has been asked for a civil reparation of 280 to 290 million dollars.
Carrión concluded that, despite the fact that the mayor of Lima has not shown the same emphasis on cases such as that of the Express Lima concession, his office does not make differences and has submitted both this and Lima Routes to investigations. On the latter, he said that since 2020 he is in a criminal case to pay civil reparation.
