Evópoli postpones its elections for October and Luz Poblete assumes as interim president

Poblete, who was the general secretary of the party, valued the appointment and thanked the current president, Andrés Molina.

“This is to be able to face in unity, with seriousness and a lot of responsibility, the process that we are experiencing as a country, the change that we are feeling through the constituent process,” he commented. “I want to publicly thank my president, Andrés Molina, for the confidence that militancy has given me, assuming the general secretariat for two years and for these six months assuming the presidency of the party,” he added.

For his part, Andrés Molina, who left his position as head of Evópoli, indicated that “I have decided to put my position at the disposal of the General Council and given the regulations, it is up to our general secretary, Luz Poblete, to assume the presidency of Political Evolution “.

“Just to thank, as the founder of Evópoli, I see that we have a great opportunity in what is to come. This is a new party, but one that today has leadership, and that it also has a great responsibility in this coming process,” he said. .

In the same way, the General Council chose the new Supreme Court, where Carolina Contreras was elected, thus becoming the first elected woman to lead the instance. She will be accompanied by Tomás Wolff, Max Sperberg, Nicolás Pizarro, Diego Aguilar, Carolina Zamar and Matías Alcayaga.

The decision must be ratified by the Political Commission, which will take place this Friday, April 29. For now, Poblete will concentrate on forming a temporary team to accompany her until October, the date on which the conglomerate’s voting will take place.
