Former President Evo Morales assured this Sunday that most of the vice presidents in Bolivia are “conspirators”, except for the one who was his partner during 14 years of government, Álvaro García Linera. He did it two weeks after having pointed out that García Linera did not chat him up either, as others do, at the time of forming his cabinet of ministers.
“I say, most of the vice presidents are conspirators, except for Álvaro García Linera,” assured the leader of the MAS, during his Sunday program on the radio coca grower Kausachun Coca.
The former president gave as an example the demonstrations of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB) during the government administration of Hernán Siles Suazo, when he was a candidate for the extinct Popular Democratic Unity, between 1982 and 1984. He said that his binomial partner, Jaime Paz Zamora, mobilized the labor entity against Siles Suazo.

Morales again alluded to García Linera, in the midst of a growing internal struggle in the MAS, in which his followers and himself question the current vice president David Choquehuanca, who heads an internal bloc.
Two weeks ago, on the same program, he said that when he was president he was never chatted up by García Linera at the time of forming his cabinet. “I just want to say, when Álvaro García Linera was vice president, they have never conditioned me, they have never blackmailed me, they have never suggested me (ministers),” he said.
