The Urban Transport Authority (ATU) indicates, as part of the “Safe Return” campaign, that it is important to update the preferential card of the Metropolitan, Lima Pass or Line 1 of the Lima and Callao Metro, in order to pay only half a ticket.
Keep in mind that the card is personal and that the rate, in the case of schoolchildren, is only valid from Monday to Friday during the school year. Below are the requirements for renewal.

Students who wish to renew their preferential card must meet the following requirements:

- The half-fare for schoolchildren is S/0.75. It applies from Monday to Friday during the validity of the school year, from February 15 to December 31. During Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and vacations, the adult rate applies.
