More than 120,000 voters from four municipalities of Santa Cruz They will go to the polls this Sunday to cast their vote in different processes. In Lagunillas (Cordillera province) the citizens will vote for the conversion to a municipality with indigenous autonomy, Meanwhile in Saint Ignatius of Velasco will go to a referendum by approval of the Organic Charter.

Under strong guard with military personnel and the Departmental Electoral Court (TED), the electoral suitcases were sent to the municipalities.

The president of TED, Maria Cristina Claros, reported that the 587 suitcases with electoral material have been distributed to the four municipalities and that compliance with the electoral silence is being monitored. He clarified that, in the remainder of the day on Saturday, will continue to inform the electoral jurieswho will fulfill that function this Sunday, about any questions they have regarding the process.

Likewise, Claros stressed that through Departmental Decree 394 the good governance order has been issued in these municipalities.

“The decree is in force from 00:00 on Friday, September 2 until 12:00 on Monday, September 5. It establishes the prohibition on the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in private homes, stores, markets, hotels or in any public space, a prohibition that is extended to the interior of public or private vehicles. Also All kinds of public and private activities are suspended.Claros explained.

He indicated that a peace agreement has been established between the candidates to avoid any situation of violence and respect the result of the polls.

For his part, the departmental police commanderJHonny Omar Chavez Bascope, indicated that operations will be carried out during the day in the four municipalities in order to protect order, likewise, the custody of electoral suitcases and enforce the order of good governance.

“It is coordinating with the provincial headquarters so that they maximize their efforts to this end. The staff is moving to the municipalities to comply with this election day,” Chávez mentioned.

He said that the police are quartered in order to guarantee the normal development of election day.
