Educational Summer 2026 today the children will be received

Everything is ready at the Departmental Inspection of Initial and Primary Education of Cerro Largo so that the 7 Schools in which the DGEIP Program will be developed in the department begin to receive the children who were duly registered.

As we reported, in the city of Melo the Educational Summer will operate in 5 schools: 10, 11, 75, 114 and 119; in the city of Río Branco 1 school: 138 and in Villa Isidoro Noblía School No. 99.

The Work Teams, made up of 1 Director, 1 Teacher and 1 Physical Education Teacher, began administrative activity this Wednesday, January 7.

Upon arrival, scheduled for 8:30, the participating children will receive breakfast and before leaving they will be provided with lunch according to the menu established by the Primary Nutritionists.

The Educational Summer has traditionally had a high recreational and recreational component, although in recent years it has also been aimed at reinforcing learning in key areas such as reading and writing.

Also today, the aquatic activities for the Melo and Noblía schools will begin in the Club Unión Pool in an agreement that the education authorities signed many years ago with the Plaza Constitución institution.

Educational outings to public walks in the city and visits to historical sites such as Casa de Juana, Museum and La Posta del Chuy are generally part of the planning carried out by the work teams.

During the development of the Program, several children are part of department delegations that travel to camps held in different parts of the country.

Educational Summer this year will extend until the end of the first week of next February.
