The former presidential candidate Yonhy Lescano sent a notarial letter to the journalist beto ortiz, in which he demands that statements against him that he considers defamatory be rectified. The acciopopulist specifically requests the withdrawal of the phrase “Turn Lescano into a tyrant”, in reference to the case The Tyrants of the Centerin which militants from Peru Libre are involved.
“Willax smeared me the entire presidential campaign. Everything has its limit, no one cowardly using the freedom of the press has a license to harm the rights of a person. Someone must put this channel and its spokespersons like Beto Ortiz and other individuals in their place,” Lescano said in a tweet.
In the document, the former candidate for Palacio denounces that the aforementioned television space “has deliberately distorted a telephone conversation” that he had “for seconds” with Danny Lujan, involved in Los Tiranos del Centro.

“Conversation that has nothing to do with illegal or improper acts; as can be verified in the complete audio of the conversation. As it is public knowledge, I have no criminal proceedings or accusations of any kind because I have always acted honestly and confronted corrupt people in my political life”, he maintains.
According to Lescano Ancieta, the television channel “for a long time (…) has been defaming with impunity, accusing both me and my wife of a series of falsehoods” with the aim of “damaging our honor and good reputation.”
“Only because its editorial line defends political positions different from mine, unduly taking advantage of the radio space given to television channels and other media. Based on the foregoing, I request that you rectify your tendentious and malicious statements, without prejudice to the corresponding legal actions.”, he added.
