“Everyone screamed and wanted to get out”: Heartbreaking testimony of a survivor of the tragedy in Abriaquí

A heartbreaking recounted was the one that delivered one of the 11 people who were injured due to a sudden flood that generated a landslide in the mining field. The tragedy also left 12 dead.

Hernán Carvajal, one of the survivors of the natural phenomenon, told RCN news the moments of anguish that he lived.

“Everyone was screaming and wanted to get out. One struggled and insisted, but it was not possible. people with columns above and woodSo you couldn’t do anything.”

He also said that the fact of staying alive was a miracle of Godsince his neck was trapped between two sticks that were dragged with the current.

“They took two sticks from me and they covered my neck and I asked my God to help me break them and one of them broke. And so stick out the back of the neck or else I wouldn’t be telling it. Then a roof fell on me, but I managed to get out and then I took my partner out, ”said the man, in the middle of tears.

In the early hours of this Friday, The authorities will continue the search for the people who are still missing. since the search work was suspended around 4 pm this Thursday, due to heavy rains.
