Companies in the events sector, such as bars, restaurants and hotels, have until this Friday (2) to join the Emergency Program for the Resumption of the Events Sector, Perse. Created in 2021, the program provides financial assistance to businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Perse, companies gain some benefits, such as zero tax rates.
Accession
To join Perse, you need to access the Regularize Portalfrom the Attorney General’s Office of the National Treasury (PGFN), of the Ministry of Finance.
Sports venues, concerts and festivals, hotels, food fairs, cinemas, nightclubs, bars and others can join the program.
Companies in the events sector taxed on real profits and that comply with all legal requirements of the program can benefit from exemption from the rates of Pis/Pasep (Contribution for Social Integration Programs and Formation of Public Servant Assets), Cofins (Contribution for Financing Social Security), CSLL (Social Contribution on Net Profit) and IRPJ (Corporate Income Tax).
For this, however, qualification is mandatory, even for companies that have already benefited from the first phase of the program.
Improper use of the benefit may result in a fine, warns the Federal Revenue Service.
