The mayoress of El Alto, Eva Copa, greeted and shook hands with Pope Francis, this Thursday, in Vatican City (Rome Italy). The Alto authority took the opportunity to deliver a bible and an aguayo fabric to the holy father, who he welcomed, according to reports and a publication on the Vatican News site.
C.opa had the opportunity to be in front of the Pope after the conclusion of the first World Congress of Eco-educational Cities, organized by Scholas Occurrentes, at the Agustinianum Patristic Institute (Rome).
Eva Copa’s embrace with the Supreme Pontiff occurred around 6:00 p.m. local time (12:00 HB). Copa was dressed in a black and green combo blanket and skirt. The chola hat stood out among the attendees and the mayoress was distinguished by her smile, also reflected in the final photo, which was published on the Vatican website.
In the appointment with the Pope, the mayors received the diploma from the Laudato Si School and explained their learning of the international meeting of eco-educational cities, where for three days they participated in group dynamics, workshops, spaces for exchanging ideas and discussions with international experts to strengthen their management and leadership capacities and to seek solutions to the great development challenges that cities will face in the coming decades.
