The president of the European Union, Úrsula Von Der Leyen, met in the city of kyiv with the president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, where in a joint statement he indicated that new sanctions will be introduced by this body against Russia.
Von der Leyen told the media present at the meeting that “a new limit will be introduced on Russian oil prices and a new package of sanctions that could come into force on February 24, the date that marks one year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Apart from Von der Leyen, several members of the European Union are in kyiv, among them, Joseph Borrel, Head of European Diplomacy who in a message through his social networks indicated that the aid of this body for Ukraine exceeds 50 billion dollars
