In order to strengthen the first and second level of health care in the region, the Social Health Insurance (EsSalud) will build two hospitals in Amazonas, with outpatient clinics, surgery rooms, hospital beds and other medical services, which will benefit to more than 75,000 policyholders in that area of ​​the northeast of the country.

The announcement was made by the CEO of It’s HealthAlegre Raúl Fonseca Espinoza, who for the second consecutive day inspects the main health establishments in the country, this time from the Amazon Assistance Network.

Accompanied by part of his management team, the highest authority of Social Security explained that the Regional Government (GORE) of Amazonas again ceded a piece of land located in Chachapoyas, where a modular hospital will be implemented, which will have specialized personnel and state-of-the-art medical equipment.

“The GORE gave us the land again and with that we are going to launch the call in May, so that the construction of the modular hospital begins in July and then is inaugurated no later than February. We are going to invest about 40 million soles in this work”accurate.

Fonseca Espinoza also said that with an estimated investment of S/ 150 million, the construction of a level II hospital in Bagua Grande is planned, which will expand the portfolio of services in that city.

Previously, it inaugurated the remodeled obstetrics and gynecology areas and pharmacy warehouse of the Higos Urco Base Hospital in Chachapoyas.

Finally, he reported that as of May, care in outpatient clinics will be 100% in all health establishments of the 30 care networks nationwide.
