In Cajamarca, construction work continues on the specialized hospital run by the Social Health Insurance (It’s Health), through a private consortium, with an investment of more than S/ 366 million.
The work stands on a plot of more than 15,000 square meters and will benefit more than 263,000 policyholders.
In addition, it will have 210 hospital beds, 54 specialized medical offices, emergency services, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, physical medicine and rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and pharmacy.
It will also have ICU/NICU areas with 31 beds for pediatric and adult patients, a surgical center with six operating rooms, an obstetric center, a blood bank and other assistance services essential for health care.
“In this hospital, it is projected to carry out about 1.8 million medical consultations per year, more than 446,000 emergency care, almost 71,000 surgeries, more than 2 million laboratory tests and 585,000 physical and rehabilitation therapies”, among other services” , highlighted the head of EsSalud, Alegre Fonseca.
