By resolution of executive presidency, Essalud declared illegal the strike started on September 9 by a sector of its workers and announced that it will begin the corresponding administrative actions against the personnel who do not comply with their work.
In a statement, the institution indicated that the strike had already been declared inadmissible by the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) and that it has arranged measures to ensure attention to those insured during the stoppage.
Also, EsSalud indicated that he maintains the dialogue with the union unions open and recalled that in the last meetings he presented various proposals, including:
- Extraordinary assignment for management improvement, subject to authorization of the FONAFE.
- Payment for compliance with activities and labor performance indicators since 2026, rejected by the unions by asking for licensed or vacation personnel.
- 100 % increase in the complementary work regime (RPCT) for healthcare personnel.
- Improvement of economic conditions derived from collective bargaining, within the established fiscal framework.
The entity stressed that It has already reached agreements with 9 of the 16 unionsincluding benefits such as Christmas basket, uniform delivery and other improvements. In addition, he reaffirmed his commitment to institutional sustainability, the anti -corruption struggle and the implementation of a new remuneration policy.
Finally, he regretted that some unions have retired from the negotiating table and reiterated their willingness to resume the dialogue to reconcile labor improvements with the optimization of attention to the insured.
