The Social Health Security (EsSalud) declared more than 400 health establishments nationwide on green alert to provide timely care to policyholders who may be affected by any emergency on a long holiday.
The green alert is a situation of expectation regarding the possible occurrence of emergencies, which determines that health agencies make preparations such as updating the necessary resources of personnel, medications, beds, ambulances and others to face a possible adverse event.

As is known, Peru has a new national holiday, Tuesday, October 8, decreed in commemoration of the combat of Angamos and the hero Miguel Grau Seminario. This day will be part of a long weekend with Monday the 7th, declared a non-working day for the public sector.
For this reason, the EsSalud network has contingency plans, which include healthcare personnel, medications and other necessary elements that guarantee health care.
Through the Central Operations Management, EsSalud will carry out permanent monitoring of health facilities and report on emergency situations, disasters or events of imminent danger that affect the life and health of the population and the physical infrastructure of the care centers.
