The Social Health Security (EsSalud) declared a yellow alert in all its health facilities in the country in order to ensure emergency care and the continuity of essential services during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The provision will be in force from December 24 to 26, 2025and of December 31, 2025 to January 2, 2026with the aim of protecting the life and health of people.
Among the actions taken are the continuity of benefits and fundamental healthcare services; the operation of critical services according to the resolution level, such as Intensive Care Units (ICU), obstetric and surgical centers, blood banks and Emergency areas.
Thus, the executive president of EsSalud, Segundo Acho Mego, indicated that the declaration of Yellow Alert will allow strengthen response capacity of health facilities during the festivities.
Likewise, the update and review of the supply of essential resources such as medications, hospital beds, ambulances and other supplies necessary to face possible adverse situations.
MINSA
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health (Minsa) also issued the Yellow Alert in its establishments. The measure came into effect at 00:00 this Saturday and will be extended until 00:00 on January 5, 2026.
In this case, it implies the immediate mobilization of human and material resources in hospitals, posts and health centers nationwide.
