Espiritusanto says he is satisfied as a deputy; now as a senator he says his commitment will be greater

Santo Domingo:- The newly elected senator for the province of La Romana, Edwar Espiritusanto, expressed his level of satisfaction for the four years he served as a deputy for that province in the eastern region of the country, achieving a very high percentage of the goals and objectives set to make La Romana a more prosperous, inclusive and participatory province.

The legislator said that if as a deputy he gave his body and soul to his province, this time as a senator he will do even more, so that La Romana can complete its consolidation process and become a model to follow within the other provinces of the country and the Caribbean.

“From the Chamber of Deputies we worked hard for La Romana and the country, raising our voice for the best causes, we submitted important bills, as well as a large number of resolutions for works and services requested by our people, we also had a good job of representing our province,” said Espiritusanto.

In a 58-second audio-visual, he stated the following: “We close our period as a deputy, with the satisfaction of having fulfilled our duty, to begin a new cycle with La Romana and my nation, now from the Senate, from here we will be the senator that La Romana and the country deserve.”

Some initiatives submitted as a deputy

Bill amending Article 54 of the Dominican Republic’s Labor Code, which creates shelters for cancer patients, the National Toxicology Center, and prohibits labor discrimination against the population over 45 years of age in matters of employment and occupation.

Requests to the executive branch

Reconstruction of the public dock in La Romana; construction of a housing project for the municipality of Villa Hermosa; installation of a citizen service office of the Attorney General’s Office; installation of state soup kitchens in Villa Hermosa and Guaymate; construction of a government building in La Romana; minor league sports complex; construction of a low roof in the Villa Verde sector, among others.
