The financial information website MarketWatch reported on April 25 that the British band Coldplay finally included Venezuela in its international tour. “September 28, 2022 will be the day of the long-awaited concert by the Venezuelan public. Hacienda Santa Teresa, located in the central state of Aragua (90 km from Caracas), will host the event,” says the text in English.

Solid Show would supposedly be in charge of organizing the event and ticket sales would begin on May 5, through the Ticketmundo website, with prices starting at $80. The news quickly spread on social networks and was replicated by some Venezuelan journalists.

News of a possible Coldplay concert in Venezuela went viral on April 21. Through the official account of Music Trends Colombia they announced the possible countries that the band will visit, among them are; Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Costa Rica and Venezuela.

The @MusicShowVenezuela account pointed out that, if the idea of the concert is realistic, the CCCT is ruled out because it has a capacity of less than 10,000 people. Spaces where the capacity is at least 40 thousand people would be needed.

To close the negotiation, the band supposedly requires that they guarantee “self-sustaining energy” for the concerts, according to information shared by the journalist Dereck Blanco on his Telegram channel.

In addition, it should be noted that Juan Carlos Araujo Durán, president of Solid Show, was arrested on March 30, 2015 by a commission of the National Anti-Drug Command (Conas) of the GNB at the facilities of the Óscar Machado Zuloaga International Airport, in the state of Miranda. .

The Public Ministry sentenced him to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking and use of the entertainment company to launder money from drug trafficking, and set his imprisonment at the Capital Rodeo II Judicial Confinement Center, located in Guatire.

So far, no Venezuelan production company has confirmed whether or not Coldplay will perform in the country.
