Luis Felipe Puente enters instead of Nemer

The Mexican governor appointed Luis Felipe Puente Espinosa instead of Nemer as secretary general of government. “He has the task of continuing the excellent work of the secretariat. His career, experience and commitment to Edomex will help us maintain governance and constructive dialogue with all Mexiquenses, “he posted on his Twitter account.

He served as Secretary of Transportation, Undersecretary of Government and General Director of Tourism in Edomex, as well as municipal president of his native Atizapán de Zaragoza. In October 2020, he was appointed by Nemer as Undersecretary of the Valley of Mexico East Zone.

He is the third secretary of government in the Del Mazo administration, who began his government with Alejandro Ozuna, who held the position until September 2020, then Nemer arrived, until today when Luis Felipe Puente took office.

Luis Felipe Puente is considered a man close to former President Enrique Peña Nieto. During his administration in the state, he served as Undersecretary of Government for the northeastern zone; Undersecretary General of Government and Secretary of Transport. Already in the presidency, he was the national coordinator of Civil Protection in the PRI federal government, where he had to face the disasters caused by hurricanes Ingrid and Manuel, as well as the 2017 earthquakes.
