Santo Domingo.- Hurricane “Erin” continues to move away from the Dominican territory, But his cloud band and the strong waves will remain present in the provinces of the Atlantic coast, so about ten demarcations remain on alert, eight of them in yellow.
The provinces in “Yellow alert” are Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Cristi, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat and Puerto Plata.
The cloudy bands of the meteor will also cause rainfall in populations located in the vicinity of the Central Mountains, according to the report of the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), released on Monday afternoon.

Aguaseros in the Santo Domingo province and the National District are also expected, at least until the early hours of Wednesday, the report points out.
«Erin», the first hurricane of the Cyclonic season in the 2025 Atlantic, continued on its way to the center of the Atlantic, on Monday afternoon, after passing to the north of the Dominican Republic as a meteor category 5.
