The Brazilian Eric Granado secured the runner-up of the 2022 season of the MotoE World Cup, in the category of electric motorcycles, by finishing the contest disputed, this Saturday (3), in Misano (Italy) in 17th position. Despite the frustration of not guaranteeing the unprecedented title, the placement is a milestone for motorcycling in Brazil, as it is the best result of a rider from the country in a category season of the MotoGP World Championship (surpassing the 3rd place also conquered by Granado in 2019 at MotoE).
In this Saturday’s race, the penultimate of the season, Italian Mattia Casadei finished first, Swiss Dominique Aegerter was second (confirming the world title) and Italian Matteo Ferrari completed the podium.
“I knew I needed a good result today so I went with what I had from the start […]. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result we wanted, but 2022 marks a very positive season for me.”
