EPM declares Hidroituango in commercial operation

This Wednesday, November 30, is the deadline set by the Creg for the entry into commercial operation of Hidroituango.

After the synchronization with the national system and after having passed the tests, the manager of EPM, Jorge Andrés Carrillo, announced that the units 1 and 2 of Hidroituango entered into commercial operationcomplying with CREG Resolution 194/20.

However, it could not yet operate due to evacuation of the populations surrounding the project, since the test is still missing once an agreement is reached with the communities downstream, which must evacuate preventively.
