“11 days after entering Argentina (March 15), the patient presented a strong feverish picture, accompanied by nasal congestion, cough and conjunctivitis. Epidemiological alert
After the confirmation of this case of measles In the country, the Ministry of Health launched an information campaign to prevent the spread of the illness and “sensitize the unvaccinated population” to complete the immunization schedule.

They also urged the country’s health authorities to “intensify epidemiological surveillance” in case new suspected cases of Exanthematous Febrile Illness (EFE) are reported.
“Any suspected case of EFE must be urgently notified to the National Health Surveillance System within 24 hours of being reported, without the need to wait for serological confirmation from the laboratory,” the Ministry of Health pointed out.
