Envoy of Pope Francis asks Dominicans to maintain respect for life

Pope Francis’ envoy, Monsignor Edgar Peña Parra, presided over the solemn mass for the 100th anniversary of the coronation of the Virgin of Altagraciaa moment he took advantage of to advocate for the right to respect for lifereferring to abortion.

Likewise, Peña Parra asked for the unity of the family represented in the Virgen de la Altagracia.

He suggested that Dominicans maintain their dignity as children of God, while calling for peace in the world.

He said that the Virgin of Altagracia is the guardian of dignity and it is her image where this part of the children of God is revealed.

Likewise, the Pope’s envoy called on Dominican youth to prepare to occupy their space in society and achieve an increasingly human and Christian development.
