Environmental damage stopped in Lara

Subjects who intended to cause chaos in the SEN will be charged with terrorism

Agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) arrested two people as alleged perpetrators of damage that was being caused to the environment in Barquisimeto (Lara).

The detainees are identified as Luis Eduardo Espinoza García and Nixon José Rodríguez Mendoza, who are responsible for the dairy company Guaralat CA

This company allegedly does not comply with health standards for the production of its dairy products, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office investigation signed with the nomenclature MP-131131-2024.

The health irregularities detected relate to the treatment of expired and contaminated products, which are disposed of in common garbage dumps, “putting the health of the population at risk by pouring some of them into sewage pipes,” says a preliminary report from the Prosecutor’s Office.

The company also does not have the necessary permits to carry out activities legally, “violating safety protocols in the facilities and in the handling of dangerous chemical substances (diesel, caustic soda) that are spilled in the internal parts where dairy products are made,” the report states.
