The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Through the National Fire Management Service (SNMF), it made resources available to the province of Entre Ríos to combat forest fires in the Paraná Delta area.
The environmental portfolio deployed in the area a hydrant plane and a helicopter with a heli bucket and for the transfer of personnel.
In addition, the coordinator of the Pampas regional office of the SNMF, Florencia Tuñón, went to the site, according to an Environment statement.
For its part, The province of Entre Ríos will begin the operation this Friday with 10 provincial brigade members, who will be based in the town of San Nicolás.
Last Monday, July 18, the Ministry sent an official communication to the provinces of Entre Ríos and Santa Fe to report the presence of new fires in the Paraná Delta, detected through satellite images provided by the SNMF.
“After the 72 hours that the environmental ministry informed Entre Ríos of the detection of new smoke columns, the province flew over the area,” the statement said.
In this sense, they highlighted that the initial attack of the outbreaks is the most effective way to combat forest fires given the importance of an immediate and rapid response.
