Sembrando will award 350 scholarships to train entrepreneurs in business administration

With the presence of the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, the second edition of Sembrando Administra tu Emprendimiento was launched on Tuesday 25, in the Executive Tower. The training program, aimed at entrepreneurs from all over Uruguay, will provide them with tools to strengthen and promote initiatives through efficient business administration.

Also participating in the activity were the promoter of Sembrando, Lorena Ponce de León; the Minister of Social Development, Martín Lema; the general director of the Presidency, Hebert Paguas, and the executive director of Sembrando, Andrea Bellolio, as well as other national authorities. In addition, representatives of the European Union, Latin Securities, Crandon University, CPA Ferrere and Manpower, entities that collaborate on different aspects of the proposal, also attended.

On this occasion, Sembrando will award 350 entrepreneurs from all over the country full scholarships, aimed at training them in tools for learning the efficient administration of their businesses. The training lasts three months, the weekly load is six hours, the classes will be given in virtual format, and a certificate of participation will be issued.

Sembrando Administer your Entrepreneurship will address the following topics: introduction to administration, customer service, accounting, work organization, deviation analysis, treatment of merchandise accounts, tax and social security aspects, employee insertion in companies and formalization of the entrepreneurship.

Ponce de León appreciated the renewal of the commitment of the companies that accompany the program, of which he highlighted the decentralizing nature with a strong focus on the interior of the country. In this sense, he stressed the importance of providing more opportunities to those who “are further away” and cannot participate in face-to-face courses.

In statements to the press after the launch, the promoter of Sembrando pointed out that 99.6% of the country’s companies are small and medium-sized (SMEs) and generate 66.5% of jobs. Based on these figures, Sembrando’s interest is oriented to procure more tools, to generate more employment and thus promote economic growth, she said.

 

Requirements

 

The conditions to enroll include a complete basic cycle, 18 years of age or older at the time of beginning the course, computer or tablets and internet access. In addition, have an active company, or a venture to formalize, and active business accounts on social networks. In another order, those interested must have openness to learning, curiosity, self-management, creativity and perseverance.

Registrations will be made via the web at this link https://bit.ly/SembrandoAdministración2023 from Tuesday April 25 to Sunday May 14. Those selected will be notified between Monday, May 15, and Tuesday, May 16, and the courses will begin on Monday, May 22.
