Entrepreneurs from São Paulo have R$ 100 million in credit, at zero interest, to pay debts incurred during the covid-19 pandemic. The Nome Limpo Program, of the São Paulo government, has been in effect since April 28 and will be available until the entire amount is disbursed by Banco do Povo.
According to the state government, there is still no balance of the amount that has already been accessed, given the short term in which the credit is active. Interested parties must take an online course with a workload of 20 hours offered by the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae).
The Secretariat for Economic Development highlights that the purpose of the initiative is to allow entrepreneurs who are negative in credit protection agencies, such as SPC and Serasa, to regularize the situation. The amount can vary from R$ 100 to R$ 5 thousand with up to 180 days to start paying the first installment and 24 months to pay off the debt.
Companies classified as Individual Microeemprendedor (MEI), Micro Company (ME), Individual Limited Liability Company (Eireli) or Limited Partnership (Ltda) can access the resources. The conditions for the loan are to reside in the state of São Paulo; the debt in question was contracted as of March 2020; have taken the entrepreneurial qualification course; present a recovery plan and have a document proving the denial issued by consumer protection agencies.
The credit must be requested at one of the Banco do Povo units in the municipality where the CNPJ is registered.
