Five enterprises that impact the areas of cosmiatrics, gastronomy, maternity, technology and remittances, were selected to opt for a potential capital investment of up to 60 thousand dollars, thanks to the Cree Banreservas Pre-Acceleration program.
The general administrator of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, affirmed that the Pre Acceleration program is part of the efforts made by the Reserve Bank to contribute to the development of the Dominican entrepreneurial ecosystem, whose basic objective is to provide participants with instruments for the development of their ventures.
Pereyra congratulated all the members of the nine teams that participated, who developed their projects for four and a half months. “They have given their best to get here, and we wish them success, because, in essence, they are all winners,” he said.
The nine businesses that made it to Demo Day had strategic mentoring services and training in business models, finance, sales strategies, digital marketing, accounting, and tax issues.
Those who will have a chance
Among the five ventures that will have the opportunity to opt for an investment capital are Orgliz, by Elizabeth Ripoll, aimed at the sale of Dominican products for Caribbean skin; Valance, by Valerie Garcia, a healthy “fast” food business; Sermadre.com, headed by Víctor Hernández and Raúl Auccatoma, a portal that links a community of mothers and specialists in Latin America.
Domicanastas was also chosen, developed by Omar Melo Martínez and María Alejandra Montás, a platform for sending remittances in kind or services; and Do-bots, by Carlos Lombert, who offers a national educational robotics line with a digital tool capable of educating all children and young people in the country in science, programming and electronics.
