Liberal Ronald Acevedo was elected as the new mayor of the city of Pedro Juan Caballero in the municipal elections held this Sunday. He will occupy the position left by his deceased brother José Carlos Acevedo.
Behind the closure of polling places in the capital of Amambay, which took place at 5:00 p.m., began the vote counting process in each of the enabled tables.
The final results give victory to the PLRA candidate, Ronald Acevedowho obtained a total of 23,940 votes (62%) and in this way he was elected as the new intendant of Pedro Juan Caballero.

In second place he stayed ANR candidate, Julio Vegawho got 12,053 votesachieving a percentage of 31%while Luis Gabriel Genez (Beloved Homeland) got the third place with a total of 359 votes (0.94%).
In these elections there was a 51.38% stakeaccounting just over 38,000 votes in total, according to data disclosed by the Electoral Justice. Also, they were enabled 188 voting tables.
