The former presidential candidate, for the Centrados party, said on August 9 that there is opacity in the actions carried out by the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ, which makes him conclude that “there is a conspiracy by the CNE and its rectors to attack the republican form that has been given to this country, which is based on suffrage”
Enrique Márquez, former presidential candidate for the Centrados party, called on Friday, August 9, for an investigation to be opened against the five principal directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) “for committing a criminal offense” by not publishing all the results to date.
“The situation in the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) is completely opaque to everyone. LThe five main rectors are committing a criminal offense, for alleged violation of the republican political form, by violating the popular sovereignty contained in the vote,” said Márquez in a press conference from the headquarters of his party.
The political leader asked that “if it is true that there was a cyber attack against the electoral body” and this prevents the CNE from publishing the results almost 15 days later, then how can it “supposedly take them to the Electoral Chamber, the rectors could produce – surprise! – an electoral bulletin, but not the results of the Chamber. This darkness surrounding the bulletin makes one show that There is a conspiracy of the CNE and its rectors to attack the republican form that has been given to this country, which is based on suffrage.”

“We have requested in the document that an investigation be opened, because if anyone needs to be investigated it is the CNE and its directors. Why are there no results to date? There are no results broken down table by tablewhere they are, why the secret is that the hacking “Everything changed except the bulletin. Is the bulletin the only valid thing?” he said.
“In this document we accuse the rectors of a serious crime, which is a conspiracy to destroy the foundations of the Republic, using as cover an alleged cyber attack,” repeated Márquez.
The CNE has still not published all the electoral results from the July 28 elections, which declared Nicolás Maduro the winner. The Carter Center, one of the few international observers, said on August 8 that after analyzing the available numbers – provided by the opposition – the results declared Edmundo González the winner.
The political crisis has sparked protests across the country against the results, leaving more than 1,200 people arrested and 23 dead, according to data from Monitor de Víctimas.
