News and highlights
For the first time, in this edition, students graduating from public schools had their registration pre-filled in the system, a way of simplifying the process and encouraging participation.
The strategy paid off. Of the 1.9 million public high school graduates, 1.34 million confirmed their registration for the exam (72.6%), according to data from the Enem 2025 Panelreleased by the Ministry of Education.
Another new feature of the 2025 edition: the Enem results once again certify the completion of high school, after this option was discontinued in 2017. The certification is intended for participants over 18 years of age who indicated this modality when registering for the exam and who reached the minimum score required (450 points in each area and 500 points in the essay).
Another first for the 2025 Enem: the 2026 Unified Selection System (Sisu) will accept grades from this year’s editions, 2024 and 2023, for entry into public higher education.

Enem final grades can be used to access public universitiesin different modalities; to apply for full and partial scholarships at private universities; to apply for student credit to pay private college fees; for admission to colleges without entrance exams; to study in Portugal; for self-assessment by trainers; and for certification of completion of secondary education or partial declaration of proficiency in this stage of basic education.
