Brazilian participants of the 2024 National High School Exam (Enem) must take the test location indicated in the Registration Confirmation Card a valid document with photo for identification – printed or digital, issued by Brazilian bodies, such as the identity card, the Work and Social Security Card (CTPS). The Enem 2024 tests will be held on the 3rd and 10th of November.
You documents they can be presented in digital format on the candidate’s own cell phone using the document’s official application, such as National Identity Card (CIN), digital ID; the e-Título, which is the digital copy of the electoral title; the digital CNH – digital version of the National Driving License; or on the Gov.br app, in the My Documents section.
If the digital version is presented, the candidate must check in advance that the application is updated and working correctly to avoid setbacks on exam days.
For foreign participants to access the test room, it is mandatory to present one of the official and original identification documents with a photo, such as a passport and identity issued by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) for foreigners, including those recognized as refugees. , among other documents.
Without an identification document, the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) warns that the participant will not be able to remain at the place where the tests are administered.
Situations
In case of loss or misplacement of physical documents, the police report (BO) issued by a police agency will no longer be accepted, unlike previous editions, with the aim of ensuring greater security during the exam. In these situations, you will need to present a digital version of the accepted documents or another valid photo ID.
Copies of valid documents, even if authenticated, photos of digital documents presented outside of their official applications or that do not have a photo will not be accepted by the room inspector.
According to the Enem 2024 notice, the participant who presents the original copy of the official identification document that is damaged, illegible, with a different appearance that does not allow the complete identification of its essential characters or signature may take the tests, as long as submit to special identification.
In this situation, an employee hired to work on the day the Enem test is administered must collect personal information and capture a photo of the participant’s face and the identification document presented, in the physical premises where the exam will take place.
If the participant wears a mask to protect against infectious diseases, it will be necessary to remove the item from the face for identification.

The access gates to the application sites will open at 12pm and close at 1pm. The administration of the tests will begin at 1:30 pm.
Regular Enem participants will have five hours and 30 minutes on the first day of the tests. The exam ends at 7pm (Brasília time). Anyone who requested additional time and had their request approved by Inep will be able to complete the tests until 8 pm. The regular duration of the second day of tests will be five hours.

Enem
Established in 1998, the National High School Examination assesses the academic performance of students at the end of high school. Participants who have not yet completed high school can participate as trainers, and the results obtained in the exam are only used for self-assessment of knowledge.
Enem scores can be used in selection processes coordinated by the Ministry of Education, such as the Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (ProUni) and the Federal government’s Higher Education Student Financing Fund (Fies).
Performance on the Enem is also considered for admission to higher education institutions in Portugal that have an agreement with Inep. The agreements guarantee easy access to grades for Brazilian students interested in pursuing higher education in that country.
