Across the country, 22 students got the maximum grade, that is, grade 1,000, in the writing of the National High School Exam (Enem) 2021, according to the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep). Detailed corrections to the texts have been available since yesterday (10), at Participant’s Page. 
The number of newsrooms graded 1,000 was lower than in the 2020 edition, when 28 students got the maximum grade. The correction of the writing of the Enem is published only for pedagogical purposes, so that students know the score achieved in each of the assessed competences. It is not possible to appeal.
THE application theme Enem 2021 regular was Invisibility and civil registration: guarantee of access to citizenship in Brazil. In the reapplication of the exam, the wording was about Recognition of the contribution of women in the health sciences in Brazil.
The texts were corrected according to the following criteria: demonstrate mastery of the formal written modality of the Portuguese language; understand the writing proposal and apply concepts from the various areas of knowledge to develop the theme, within the structural limits of the argumentative-essay text in prose; select, relate, organize and interpret information, facts, opinions and arguments in support of a point of view; demonstrate knowledge of the linguistic mechanisms necessary for the construction of the argument; and prepare an intervention proposal for the problem addressed, respecting human rights.
The essay test is only discursive exam. Each text goes through at least two correctors. The exam has five criteria that zero the grade: avoidance of topic, total length of up to seven lines, passage deliberately disconnected from the proposed topic, non-compliance with the dissertation-argumentative structure and disrespect for the seriousness of the exam.
Coaches’ notes
This Sunday, the marks of trainee students were also published on the Participant’s Page, those who have not yet completed high school and took the exam just to test their own knowledge. Trainees cannot use individual Enem results to access higher education and government programs to finance or support higher education students, as described in the exam notice.
enem 2021
Enem 2021 was applied on November 21 and 28, and reapplication took place on January 9 and 16, 2022. The exam selects students for public higher education vacancies, through the Unified Selection System (Sisu), for scholarships at institutions by the University for All Program (ProUni), and serves as a parameter for the Student Financing Fund (Fies). The results can also be used to to join Portuguese educational institutions that have an agreement with Inep.
